DIGITAL MILLENNIUM COPYRIGHT ACT NOTIFICATION GUIDELINES
We take the intellectual property rights of others, as well as claims of copyright infringement, seriously. We receive and take action in response to formal written Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) Notices and Counter Notices informing us of infringement occurring on the Voice platform, and we maintain a repeat infringement policy to protect copyright holders’ intellectual property rights
1. Repeat Infringement Policy
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) establishes a process for addressing claims of copyright infringement. If we receive multiple DMCA Notices related to content you post on Voice, indicating that you have used others’ copyrighted content without permission more than once, we may terminate your account, at our sole discretion.
Voice maintains a system for keeping track of users who repeatedly violate others’ intellectual property rights, and determining when to terminate a user’s account for multiple violations. Generally, when content is removed that you’ve posted because we’ve received a complete legal request from the copyright owner of that content to do so, this will constitute a “copyright strike” which will be recorded on your Voice account indefinitely. If you receive two or more copyright strikes, Voice may act to suspend or remove your account. Multiple copyright strikes will result in the termination of your Voice account. Copyright strikes may be removed from your account at our discretion, or if an event occurs following your receipt of a copyright strike indicating you did not violate or infringe someone else’s intellectual property rights. These events may include your filing of a formal and complete Counter Notice in response to the owner’s DMCA Notice which is not answered by the copyright owner; the copyright owner’s retraction of their DMCA Notice; or, legal proceedings determining that you have not violated the owner’s intellectual property rights.
2. Reporting Claims of Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner or the owner’s agent, and you believe that a third party is infringing your (or some else, on whose behalf you are authorized to act’s) copyright, then you may submit a written notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our designated copyright agent at the address below with the following information in writing (a “DMCA Notice”), and we will take appropriate action:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe to have been infringed or, if the claim involves multiple works on Voice, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material you believe to be infringing in a sufficiently precise manner to allow us to locate that material, e.g., including a URL.
- If known, the name/contact information of the person/entity you believe to have violated your copyright.
- Adequate information by which we can contact you (including your name, postal address, telephone number, and, if available, email address).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information you provide in your written DMCA Notice is accurate, and that under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. (For example, “The information in this DMCA Notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or an agent authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyrighted work described in this DMCA Notice.”)
Complete DMCA Notices may be submitted directly to [email protected]. Pursuant to Title 17, United State Code, Section 512(c)(2), written notice may also be sent to Voice’s DMCA Designated Agent below:

If you fail to provide any of the information listed above, your DMCA Notice may not be effective, and we reserve the right to ignore DMCA Notices that are not in compliance. Voice may request additional information before removing any content from our site. We reserve the right to share DMCA Notices and your contact information with third parties including legal entities and the infringing party.
If the infringing party files a Counter Notice in response to your DMCA Notice, the DMCA allows us to restore the removed content if you have not filed a court infringement action against the infringing party within ten business days of receiving a copy of the Counter Notice, and sent notice to Voice evidencing the court action.
Please be aware that if you knowingly and materially misrepresent that any activity or material on Voice infringes your or another person’s copyright, you may be held liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
3. Counter Notification Procedures
If you believe that material you posted on Voice was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter notification with us (a “Counter Notice“) by submitting written notification to the contact details below. Pursuant to the DMCA, the Counter Notice must include substantially the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- An identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location (link/URL) at which the material appeared before it was removed or access disabled. You may provide the URL, or, you may forward the notification sent to you from Voice with respect to the removed material.
- Adequate information by which we can contact you (including your name, postal address, telephone number, and, if available, email address).
- A statement under penalty of perjury by you that you have a good faith belief that the material identified above was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- A statement that you will consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you reside outside the United States for any judicial district in which Voice may be found) and that you will accept service from the person (or an agent of that person) who provided Voice with the complaint at issue.
Complete Counter Notices may be directly submitted to [email protected], and to Voice’s DMCA Designated Agent above.
The DMCA allows us to restore the removed content if a court infringement action against you has not been filed by the copyright owner and sender of the original DMCA Notice within ten business days of their receipt of a copy of your Counter Notice.
Please be aware that if you knowingly materially misrepresent that any activity or material on Voice was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may be held liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
