Yemi is a Motion Graphics Designer, 3D Designer and Art Director currently based in London. While questioning the concept of movement, he uses visual vocabulary that addresses many different social issues. By parodying mass media and exaggerating certain formal aspects inherent to our contemporary society, he likes to develop forms that do not follow logical criteria, but are based only on subjective associations and formal parallels, which incite the viewer to make new personal associations.
His work directly responds to the surrounding environment and uses my everyday experiences as a starting point. These are usually framed instances that would go unnoticed in their original context. He likes to include themes of obviousness and cliché in his work. They question the coerciveness that is derived from the more profound meaning and the superficial aesthetic appearance of an image.
